In loving memory of my son, Josh.

Hello Stangnet forum. Thank you for the warm welcome. My name is Jim, a 35 year long accomplished electronic engineer working in design, digital networking systems architecture and applications support for a large semiconductor company. We are a leader in automotive electronic systems control, energy efficient systems, infotainment, and safety critical technologies of which I possess a strong expertise. Through my 26 year old son Josh's (now deceased) incredible knowledge of the Mustang GT and his love for auto mechanics as a full time job, consultant, enthusiast and passionate hobbyist, I take pride in the incredible legacy he left behind. I spent many weekends working under the hood with him on his 2003 GT working on three engine replacements, on his forth transmission and implementation of a pro-charger supercharger system and many other essentials. As part of his effort to hit under a 10sec 1/4mile time up in Epping NH, I loved sharing his experience and excitement converting this once quiet gentle street GT to over 700HP at the rear wheel of this mean driving machine. To meet the criteria for racing in that class with what he had engineered, designed, built and tuned himself, he tirelessly worked to install a full racing cage, seats with required safety harnessing, extra shielding to contain the transmission and engine in the event of any impact, full dash instrumentation and gauges as well and a safety emergency shut off system that encompassed a complete over-hall of the entire electrical harness. Josh’s work of art was featured in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine in the September 2011 edition. Check it out. Many hours we spent, proud father with my son Josh sharing and trading ideas to keep that mean machine in perfect running condition. Tremendous memories I will never forget.

With Josh’s incredible legacy he also left me with the now daunting (and highly emotional) task of trying to liquidate some of his prize possessions, namely his extensive tools collection and more challenging, the 2003 Mustang GT.

I learned allot from Josh, and now looking forward to complementing my new acquired knowledge and experiences he left with me as I strive to complete my mission, to help move forward one day at a time.

My mission, to put most of the emotions aside, and put that rolling chassis, custom designed forth engine, a brand new transmission, pro-charger package and all the other essentials and parts up for sale.

Thanks again forum. I look forward to a lengthy, great experience and valuable guidance as I start the process.

“Mustangs Forever”

Best regards,
Jim
