Alright guys... I'm lost.
At the moment I have a built forged 331 with 10.5 compression procomp 190cc heads etc... Attached to a built c4 and shift kit. It's in a 69 coupe and puts out probably over 400 crank horse. Now I'm in a dilemma, I can sell off both the trans and engine for 6000 to my friend. The engine was professionally built and the labor, machining etc was free! Its nice to know people! ;). Now i don't know if i wanna sell it and build a 460 with p-51 heads, high compression, high lift cam etc. with a built c6. What would you guys do? It isn't my daily, more a strip and piss of the neighbors kinda car. I want more power and i could probably run a 100 shot and be good for like 600$... From the build i've read, for 6000$ I can build a 700 hp/ 610 torque 460... but how much different would the weight be from the aluminum top end 331? The 460 will have aluminum heads/intake also.
HELP!
Thanks guys!

look at it this way: your going from a 400/370ish 460lb engine, to a 700/610(at least) 550lb engine. at most, a 150 pound difference. seems to my blonde reasoning that that 150lbs is inconsequential when the torque increases so much. and itll be a crap ton louder too. straight line: go for it.
in the end, youll make more power yeah. but its also your car, your setup. you do what you think is best.
