hi all,
I recently purchased 65 convertible. The car has been beautifully restored and is in great condition. To finish it off I purchased wheel vintique styled steel wheels 15 x 7 and Goodrich TAs 215/60. The car is a front drum brake car. All of the forums I read indicated they should fit no problem. Unfortunately the front is slight interference at the top. A 6mm spacer gives enough clearance but the stud is to short. Is it possible to but longer wheel studs?
I also notice the rear end wheels are not centred in the body/chassis. How do I fix this problem.
Thanks in advance Mark

By interference you mean the upper control arm and ball joint? If that's the case then it has to do with the wheel backspacing and offset. When you buy aftermarket wheels then you have to figure out what backspacing and offset you need and order the proper fit. The wider the wheel is then the closer it will be to the control arm.

As far as the wheel centering can you be more specific? Not centered side to side? Front to back?
