Hi Hubs, I'm new here in the talks.

I need some help regarding a Mustang. I recently bought a 67 Coupe with a T engine but the V6 had been changed into a V8 and I have a hard time identifying the model or size of the engine. Can anybody help me and tell me what engine could be and where I find a number to identify it?

Thanks a lot

Thank you very much for your reply. Where would I look for the engine number? I checked already above the starter motor and looked around a bit but can't find any number.

The block number is right above the starter on the block its self .If it starts with any thing below C8 it will be a 289 ,such as C7 ,C6 , C5. C9 or higher letter such as D ,or E will be a 302 .Take off a valve cover and between the rockers you will see 289,302 or 351 .But that will only give you the heads and they could have been replaced .
