Ok too cold to be working outside so I'm inside building the motor. That said, I have the next problem for you all.
I'm using a 1987 5.0 HO block but no EFI. I am installing a 1968 timing cover for the mech fuel pump and will be using a standard rotation high flow aluminum water pump with a left hand (DS) inlet.
The more I search for bolt size and location for the SBF covers the more confusing it gets. Some of the kits (including ARP) don't seem to come complete either. I do have an ARP kit here that's stainless but I now don't think I want to go with stainless b/c of the potential for problems with the dissimilar metals. Also, the set I have is just bolts with no extensions for accessories. Some kits seem to come with bolts for the extensions, some don't.
Does anyone have a drawing for a 1968 timing cover bolt size and location. Which bolts need the extensions and which don't? I am not running any power steering etc.
Thanks in advance for anyone who may have this.
Cheers.
