Adding Amps To 14 With Sync

I just recently purchased a 14 v6 mustang premium that has the sync system. I love the sync but the cars bass sucks. I seen on sonixelectronic a pack to plug into the factory harness behind the stereo that lets you use the factory stereo and everything just adds a rca out put and a amp turn on wire. Has anyone done this and is it a good idea to get some boom out of my stereo. I already have the amps and subs. Here is a link to that pack/box I'm talking about

It says 04-10 but when you input your car it says it works and a lot of the reviews says it works, especially one that used it on a 14 gt. I appricate the help. I just don't want to jump into something and distroy the car. I don't want to do any wire cutting/splicing so to me this idea seems to be a good idea to do this. I'd just have to run a power wire
