I have a 2001 mustang v6. I back out my mustang put the bar into drive. It rolled forward like it should but when I pushed my gar pedal it Rev and didn't move. When I hit around 2rpms it jerked and finally accelerated. Never had a problemeeting until I put it in park then back into drive again. What's going on? I checked my trans fluid it does look a higher than it should be

Your torque converter most likely needs to be serviced or replaced. The fluid level in the torque converter plays a major role in the transfer of energy from your engine to the transmission. If the fluid level is not correct, then you will experience a situation like you mentioned, where you have to get the revs up a bit before the transfer of energy takes place.

I won't question your mechanical ability, however you should be warned that this repair is quite extensive and should be done by a shop unless you are quite the gear head.
