different type of alternaotr question, experts come in!

ok, i have a stock alt out of a 98 GT. i also have a 3g alt (150 amp). now, the stock GT one has a cracked case (maiking it unusable, plus wont fit foxes) and the 150 amp alt has a stripped pulley shaft. can i mix and match any parts to make one working alternator? or is this just a dream of mine to make a profit lol.

The only way you will know is to try it. Since both alts are damaged, you don't have much to lose.

The only trick is to get the brushes back it place when you put the alt back together. It only takes a paperclip slid through the hole in the case to hold them in place for reassembly.
