Dim Gauge Cluster/radio Display! Help?

i have a 04 mustang 40th aniv edition and have had it for a few months, just recently when I turn the headlights on, the radio display and gauge cluster go very dim and are hard to see..i have 8k hids in for the headlights if that makes a difference. any ideas what the issue is???

Did you try rotating the headlight knob? it acts as a dimmer for the dash lights.
