First Gear Grind

I need help I have a standard 1995 mustang gt and I recently put on a Gripp short throw shifter and now my first gear grinds and even gets thrown out of gear I'm not sure what's wrong and how to fix this any ideas?

Ensure the shift stops are adjusted correctly, per the instructions.
Also make sure the plastic shifter bushing is still in place.

It sounds like it's not getting all of the way into gear. Checking the stops is a great suggestion.

Thanks guy,the front stop was too in and not sifting correctly all fixed now the tranny just whines and I push the clutch about 2 inches in and it stops maybe the flywheel or clutch going bad?
