hello everyone, new to this page but now new to wrenching on old stuff... usually is GM trucks but my 16 year old son Ian always wanted a first gen Mustang, so the story begins...
started with 1968 complete car, running/driving but rusty/ugly and in need of lots of love... good starting point though, (so i thought) V8, 5 lug car. Of course i am sure most of you know, the rust was, WAYYYYY.... worse than we thought, so took lots longer and had to call in some favors from welder buddies. Ian's 1 wish was for the rear trunk spoiler on the car and my 1 pre requisite was disc brake upgrade on front. he got his, still needs some fiberglass work to be perfect, and i got mine,,, well, sort of - need help finding aftermarket replacement calipers which bolt on the kelsey hayes brackets.
thanks everyone for looking, thanks for help on brakes...
looking forward to checking everyone's rides out and hopefully soon riding around with my son driving his '68...
