I have a 67 fastback that I am working on. 289 engine,10-1 comp. pistons, headers, 2400 stall converter, c-4 trans, 373 gears in the back, 670 holley carb on top of a torker manifold. comp cam in it. I want the car to be a street car and dependable but I am having trouble getting it to run properly. the heads have been ported with oversized valves an I don't think my combination of parts is working as good as it could. any suggestions?

I would loose the Torker intake for a good duel plane intake such as a Edelbrok performer or a Cobra intake ,something that will create better vacuum at lower end .A Torker is better for higher RPMs. A 650 vacuum secondary holley . The 373 gears is very low for an automatic ,3.25 or 3.30 would be a better gear . What Comp cam do you have ?
