Hi
New to the forum and I can't wait to get started. I bought my dream car after saving for the last 15yrs. And combing through craigs list, ebay, and various other resources for the past 5yrs. I knew exactly what I wanted and the wait paid off. I Picked up a mostly sorted 65 gt A code 4-speed car in vintage burgundy. It was built almost exactly as I would have built it myself, and it has 6k on the resto. The engine is not the original, as the original was magna fluxed and was found to have a hairline crack in it. So it has a latter hi-po 289 built to mostly K code specs. It has roller rockers, a period correct dual quad intake, 390 cfm holly's, creamic tri y headers and some other goodies . It dynoed out at 306hp at the crank. I have the factory 4speed, but it has the t-5 conversion. Right now I am working on the brakes and sorting out some oil drips mostly due to the valve cover adaptor's. Also have have a few other small issues, no seat belts, leaking chrome thermostat housing, ect. But I love wrenching so I am really looking forward to this project.
