Fox Hood Won't Latch

Has anybody had this issue before? My hood closes but doesn't lock shut. I can't figure out what the problem is. Very frustrating and I can't drive on the highway because I'm afraid the hood will fly up.

Any ideas? I sprayed WD40 on the lock mechanism but it didn't help.

Have you inspected your hood latch mechanism? You should be able to operate it with your finger to simulate the hood closing.

Check to see if this latch need to be lined up with the lower hood latch striker.

Thanks a lot for the info!! It'll be useful to someone else I'm sure.

I was able to fix the issue yesterday. Frustration got the best of me and I doused the lock with way more WD40 than I thought I should. And viola! Hood closed on the first try. Not embarrassing at all, right? lol.
