Ignition Blues

Has anyone had trouble with the Pertronics ignitor II system arcing at the coil an then cutting out after 5 minutes of running? System ran great when I put the car away last fall now it is hard starting an just shuts off after warming up like someone turn off the key. The arcing on the coil has been an issue from day 1 even with new plugs an wires.

If you have arcing from the center post of the coil to the - side, replace the coil.

I did, the new coil an old coil were arcing, plug wires are new as are the plugs an the cap/rotor as well. The interesting thing was when I switched back to the points even without the resistive wire no arcing took place.
