Saw this the other day. It's in a F250, I didn't have any tools nor did I find any vin number.

What is the likely hood that it's a good core? Check to see if it turns over, right?

How do I find out what if it's a 351c or 351m?

Thanks

Quick google and it doesn't look like the crank and rods (what I'm after) will go into a 351C block.

Super Bummed

actually you can make them fit if you are willing to have some machine work done.however the rods are rather a bit too long even with very short pistons. the mains are the same size as the 351w, which is why the 400 crank is a great one to swap when building a 408 windsor.

however putting the 351m or 400 rank into a 351c basically entails cutting the mains down from 3" to 2.74(i think) to fit the 351c block.

Basically what I've found searching. The counter weights need to be ground down as well to clear.

I'm better off just buying an Eagle Rod and Crank combo.

I've had a bug that I won't to build a Cleveland for some stupid reason and was all excited when I saw that engine. Problem is I only want to spend a grand or two.

Back to the drawing board.
