Good Day All,
My wife and I just purchased THE 1969 Mustang Grande that her father bought new and she drove a short time while in HS this past weekend. Long story...shortened. Her dad thought the 69 with the 351W, 2 barrel car in Champagne Gold with Nugget Gold interior was too powerful and sold it a few years after purchase. He passed a few years ago suddenly without telling any of his 4 kids where it went. I did a creative internet search and found it was bought, driven and stored this whole time in a shed in the very town it was purchased. We bought it from the son whose grandfather purchased it way back when. It will now return to the family to be restored. Needless to say this once in a lifetime opportunity could not be passed up. And needless to say we paid a premium for a non running car needing work. Fortunately, the fluids were drained and the car is about 95% complete. The owner had thoughts of giving it to his son and even let him start refinishing the paint. So it is in partial disassembly right now. It will be delivered this next Saturday and the fun will begin....
