RANT!!! Not Happy With American Muscle / Bama Performance

I knew their claims of 30+ hp were BS. I've tuned my share of NA gas motors and that is pretty far fetched on a motor that is already pretty efficient as it is. You can only do so much with tuning, although having control on the cams and point specific timing and fuel is huge. You can make some pretty significant gains on motors that are WAY detuned from the factory (half ton trucks, passenger cars, etc.), but on most hot rodded motors you just don't see the gains with only a tune. Until you start changing cams, injectors, heads, headers, force induction, etc., you just don't see significant gains.

Folks usually think they see a big low end gain because most tuners simply increase the throttle sensitivity down low. That's not power, that's making the ECM think you're giving it more throttle than you actually are.
