Rubber Membrane On Roof Crossmember Replacement?

The roof on my 66 coupe was Swiss cheese and not fixable, so I took it off and have a replacement skin I will be putting on once I get most of the rest of the sheet metal repaired. (It is so much easier working on the floor boards and other stuff in the cab without the roof).
On a 66 coupe, there was a rubber membrane with paper backing stapled to the roof cross member between the cross member and the roof Skin fully across the car. It was pretty dense and about 1/8th inch thick. I believe it was to reduce the vibration noise of the roof skin on the cross member. There was not one on my car at the windshield not the rear window.
What is the official name of that item, where might I find a new one (mine was trashed) and is there a suitable second option I could use? My worry is I get something in there that is either too thick or thin and not support correctly.
My project is a resto mod/ daily driver so sticking to Original is not totally set in stone.
