Was at epping yesterday and despite the humidity and 95 degree day, still felt i should have done better.

Barely had a clean run, track was slick and despite lowering rpms and tires pressure couldn't get lower than a 2.066 60' it has also been 2 years since at the track and this whole combo is a week old to me and has only 400 mi on it

March Fender Well Intake, Flowmaster mufflers, BBK Shorty Headers, off road bk h pipe no cats,103,000 mi, Trickflow 1.6 Roller Rockers,Trickflow Stage 2 cam, Trickflow Track Heat Intakes,

What kinda springs and struts are you running? You said the track was slick and you were having to lower rpms, so I take it you were spinning originally. Where are you launching, and is it bogging badly on you? I agree with above, your mph should be higher. I run Gt40's as well and trap 88+mph in the 1/8th. Looks like you were about 10mph slower than that. My best 60ft has been a 1.996, not much better than yours. You may have some issues launching, but seems like maybe power isn't where it should be????

Just for comparison sake. My car made around 290HP at the time and ran 13.6's at 106+MPH all day on street tires.

Something's wrong there V. First of all, it sounds like DEZ's dyno is conservative, because Mike Dez knows these cars well, but they usually make over 300rwhp with your mods.

Second, and I mean this as encouragement, not criticism, your combo is capable of running low 12s at around 110mph.

There may be some power hidden somewhere in there, but mainly, I suspect that if you keep going back to the track and practicing, you'll drop over a second just by getting more familiar with what the car wants you to do on the dragstrip.

Sooooooo.... tell us more about your suspension setup.

Its weird to me that i only made power to 5200 rpm anyways, yes its a 347 but cam should pull to 6000 ish. What would cause it to produce power only at 5200 rpm. cam was installed dot to dot and it degreed correctly

I agree i need to learn to drive it, hands down, i was spinning off the line no matter what basically, went down to launching at 3000 rpm and lowered tire pressure to 18 psi. Maybe slipping the clutch?

Based on the 282 rwhp i agree it should be mid to flat 13, to be consservative.

It has STOCK SUSPENSION AND STOCK STRUTS, only have rear upper and adjustable lower controller arms and the sub frames all else is stock

is there a flaw in my combo, i was hoping for 320 whp and having it closer to 6k rpm?

Dez's shop is amazing and they were more than helpful with my build, two recommendations they have were changing parts of the exhaust and a griffin radiator.
For exhaust it has bbk equal shorties, bbk 2.5" non cat h pipe, flowmaster mufflers on what looks to be 2 or 2.25" tail piping.
She doesnt overheat at all, got warm only while sitting in traffic for 45 min in 95 degree heat but still no issues

also was shifting at 5500-5600 rpm if this makes any importance

??? stumped

Good news & bad news:

The good news is that your suspension is killing you. A good suspension setup would drop half a second off of your sixty foot time and a full second off of your quarter mile time, with no other changes to the combo! So that's encouraging. (I can help you with the suspension, if you want)

The bad news is that you didn't mention it was a 347 before. A 347 should be making 320-340 to the tire at your altitude, and a well tuned 347 on good suspension & tires is an easy 11-second car.

But again, the silver lining on this situation is that you have a lot of great parts. You just need to make them work well together.

Agreed question is how do I make them work together? I was deff hoping for 330 to the wheels, I almost don't know how to approach the tuner with this problem and on top I am deff out of money for a bit. Cam and intake say she sound spin to and make power to 5800, where is the other 600 rpm?

Though i cant afford any more parts i am interested what you would reccomend for a suspension. Keeping in mind the car is daily driven
thanks
