I'm pretty sure the oil galley on the passenger side is where that oil pressure apparatus goes, but does anyone know what the hole on the drivers side by the filter is? Is it just plugged?
Put the engine in the car this weekend and really looking to get it all sealed up and primed...

Drivers side is the oil pressure sending unit.

I can't be 100% certain from memory, but I want to say the passenger side is for a ground strap, or some sort of mounting bracket?

The first pic is oil pressure the second I think is for a hanger that is for the wire harness that runs back to the starter but that in a fox body. Stick a pick in it and see if it bottoms out at only a inch or maybe inch and a half. Timing cover and motor color makes me think this is a older non roller block? Are put'n a roller motor in a vintage car? Good start.
Some questions, mechanical fuel pump? If so you did put the eccentric thingy on the cam? What'cha building?

Thanks for the quick replies! You guys are 100% right, just took a glance in with a mirror and a flashlight and it bottoms out, not an oil galley hole at all! I feel like an idiot now!

Anyway, little background, its an 86 5.0L in an 86 Fox. It is a roller block that I rebuilt some time ago and am just putting in now

This was the timing cover that came off the motor. There is no actual opening for the pump, it's sealed off in the casting. There is just the imprint for it
