Wiper Cowl?

Other than being ugly would a hole in a cowl cause any other problems? I haven't been able to find anything about a hole in the cowl itself causing anything but a plugged drain will cause water to enter the car.

I purchased a 2004 mustang gt and it's got a small hole in the cowl. I was trying to figure out if it's urgent to replace. Supposed to rain Monday so making sure it won't cause a problem.

Ugly but not gonna leak into the car.
