Yes thats the issue i was talking about, the harness pins at the ECU do not match up.
Now that does not mean you need to change the entire harness out, you can move the pins around on the ecu plug. Its easy to do, just watch a few youtube vids before you begin.

1990 F150 Harness should be similar to Mustang with Spout by the Distributor ..this looks like a newer one..94+ ..but spout connector is pluged in.. its under the Ignition Module..

Wasnt sure if you knew or looked it up yet already, honestly that's okay I wanted to pull it all and get it all nice and tucked away so itll just be a good time to do it. So guess I should get the harness diagram and the mustang ecu diagram and match it up into the plug?

Yes that's what I was in was referring to when I said plug. I think that is the stock location of it for the 4.9l but I'm not sure what all they changed now it seems they disnt even tell me what they actually put in it, i say this because i was told like 87 or 90 harness something like that.

this is your ecu pinout.

this is what the microsquirt thinks its pinned out as.

Now you can either swap harnesses or with a little bit of work looking at these two diagrams figure out what needs to be swapped.

From first glance they look pretty similar to me.

That top pinout is the one I was looking for have the bottom thanks for the help. I'll have to see how many changes and see if it is simple few or a big amount and make my decision .

This was labeled 89 5.0 but seems small.

I am going to move this to a thread just for you, at this point its a hardware issue.

@Brandon5ohf150 this is where you will post for this project from this point forward make sure you watch this thread by hitting the watch button at the top right of the page.

The harness pinouts look similar from what i can find, you may need to do some continuity checking. The fact that with the stock ECU you had to use some kind of switch to make the injectors fire is a glaring issue.... can you please expand on this as it may be the actual problem. Do you know what this is tied into??

I can take a look when I get home and see what I can find out where exactly cut and all that. I'll go thorough and get some pics of what had been done and try to figure it out. If I'm not mistaken, it is a splice from the ignition at the starter solenoid, and it forces the crank while the key is still in run position rather than full turn. It wasnt getting any fuel or spark. They made it so key dont need to turn forwards so now it starts cause the power isnt cut to fuel and spark.

Can put the file itself if you would like. Talked to some with same setup and he has mustang conversion injector harness but it's to hook up the maf mainly. However mine is speed density with the microsquirt. So said should work. Pinouts are extremely close.
