Cobra Gt 40s

What is meant by 'sloppy 300hp car'?

He is saying dial your suspension in first, horsepower later.

Ever see the youtube videos of a car with a 1000 hp running 11s and 10s, because they can't hook and spinning down the track?

Stock wore out suspension with 300hp vs dialed in suspension 215-225hp = might be surprised with the results

Well, that makes sense, I kinda stay away from youtube, I enjoy watching stupid people do stupid things too much, ends up be'n all day, like give'n someone a coil wire and say'n 'hold this'.

This. Even if it's just a street a car. At a minimum replace all bushings and add subframes

For track purposes, or street "racing" I would absolutely agree that suspension needs come first.
For a street cruiser, I would take the 300hp so long as the factory bushings were good.
Case in point, when I was rolling with the stock motor and 232hp I would routinely beat a friend at the track who was running 300hp (296 or something, forget, a hair under 300).
However, rolling around on the street it was no contest. He would drive away every time... especially if we were above 40-45mph. We both wore drag radials on the street.

Don't forget brakes.......

IMHO 1100-1400$ can get you a used db11 blower setup on ebay right now......

Just sayin

Assuming you mean powerdyne bd11. They are definitely cheap. Some have sold locally for 600-800. I have been resisting the urge so far due to all of the horror stories, and the fact that used s trims are in the $1600 range.

Blower FTW

I mean heck you can come across deals on blowers all the time, just shop around.

I mean I have seen some people score a KenneBell for cheap too :stick:

Hi all, I have a question about my setup. I have a 91 with 2000 miles on the new bottom end that is a forged 306. I currently have stock e7 heads, b303 cam, 1.6 rr, cobra upper and lower intake, CAI with Bassani headers and Bassani mufflers with no cats or smog. It is a manual with stock rear end. The car has really good torque and runs really well. What I would like to know is about what it's putting out HP and what would the gains be roughly with a set of GT 40 iron heads. Thanks in advanced
I run a b303 cam with a carbed intake and e7s and im pushing 450hp almost
