oil gauge?

Well that's not what I was asking.

I was asking if it was possible to make the originally installed cluster gauge...top right....to work as a "real" gauge. I've searched the web for weeks and all I can find is SN95 conversion. Some guys say that the 5.0's has a real gauge which is incorrect. At 10 psi, the gauge in my bone stock '92 GT has it's needle at the L in normal. At 70 psi (cold engine) it shows exactly the same. I even removed the "sending unit" and set up an air fitting with a regulator, then watched the resistance of the sending unit-and it did not change from around 6 psi to 50, which is where I quit. So it's not a true gauge-just an idiot gauge.

I have a spare cluster and will play with it. There's got to be a way.
