Coupe prices... what the heck

I went through this 20 years ago, could not find a GT or notch at any price. So I bought my 82 six banger hatch as a roller for $50 and have been building it ever since. Then, I found a $500 notch 2.3 for my youngest daughters car, complete with failed A4ld and heater core. And not a straight body panel on the car. She hated it, but drove it for a year when her grandad donated his Grand Cherokee. I still have the 89, now a t5. Planning to keep it, and about six years ago, I found a non running black 93 5.0 notch with mostly good body parts that I could afford, I love my 82 hatch toy, but I have soft spot for notches too. The red notch on the cover of FF & MM this month was at Mustang Week, and is even more impressive in person. For once, I think I got lucky with the trend. I wouldn't sell my running 89 four pot for less than $2500, dents included. I have seen a couple, earlier notches on Facebook lately, and am tempted to be the guy with the cash and trailer, but my wife thinks I lack storage space.....

Sadly, I can also see the knee issue happening down the road....
Driven sticks all my life but had to sell the Cobra after my knee became the deciding factor on when and where to drive it. Happily the knee has quieted down now for the most part. At least the AT's have improved mightily since the AOD's I owned(even with a shift kit I couldn't handle it).

Stoners don't count.
Stock block on3 turbo kits do not command 5-10k more than the rest of what pops up in the search results. The cars are 10-12k cars at this time. Everyone of us have that much in each one you're at break even at best unless you've got a pristine restored, or a flawless restoration.

Yeah, I posted the link because I was shocked at how high it was going. Hurry everyone, auction ends shortly. I wonder if there will be a last minute battle!

Guy's I've always had Coupes I just love them. Bought a brand new one in '93. Anyhow recently I sold my '88 Coupe to man up in NY he only had
it three months. The moment I sold it I instantly missed it. So I started looking for another one. I have been looking Ebay, Craigslist, etc.... found my old
car on craigslist. The guy was going through a divorce. He sold it back to me for the same amount. Talk about LUCK.... It should be here tomorrow.

In 82 I was shopping for a cool high-performance car since I use to own a 68 Mustang Fastback and 69 Fiat 124 Spider. Loved that Spider!
There was a White 82 Capri RS 5.0 HO in the showroom and that was it. 10K out the door! I will not make the mistake of selling it... ever!
Nothing sounds like vintage 5.0 and you can tell when you hear one from any car. I'll be driving her until it get's banned from the roads!

Climb baby, climb. I'm going to sell mine in the near-ish future after I get it running and driving. I have a boner for a 69-70 fastback that's lasted more than 4 hours. It's about time to move on.
