The Tragic Tale of ElSuperPinto

I think that 'cow catcher' is too ummmmmm, large?
I have the same spoiler.
I felt this way too but cut it to match the factory style better

How did you mount your cow-catcher? Mine slides right onto the factory Ghia lower valance, and I was thinking about bolting it to that, but wasn't sure if the urethane would be strong enough.

No offense was intended.
None taken.

In other news, I signed up with an online stock broker and won a free share of Amazon. Knowing that the market is in the beginning stages of a major tank, I sold that share at $2900 (yes, I know, I'll have to pay capital gains tax on it next year). Coincidentally, that was exactly how much I owed on the 4Runner, so I paid that off and freed up $337 a month for other stuff. I still have a Matco toolbox loan, a few credit cards, and a debt consolidation loan to pay down, but the budget for "fun" has been increased slightly as well. I'm ordering the next piece of the puzzle for the II to celebrate.

So... there hasn't been an update in over a month.

That's because I've been busy.

VERY busy.

I left BMW three weeks ago to go back to working on used cars. I didn't even have to switch companies, just shops. My pay rate stayed the same, and the Mustang got to come to the new shop with me, but it's mostly sat out back waiting on me to catch up to the MASSIVE work load I have now.

That doesn't mean that absolutely nothing has been done though.

Decisions have been made.

Driving the II fairly regularly has me pretty happy with the 308 that's under the hood. Happy enough that I've started listing 4.6 swap parts for sale on Facebook and ordering other things that center around the current 302-based engine.

I've also for the first time figured out exactly what I want the exterior of the car to look like from bumper-to-bumper (I even clued one of you in on it and swore you to secrecy).

This is going to be fun.

Yes she is looking good! If we lived closer I would talk you into going to a car show with me. Christine is always the ugly duckling but I love the original paint. It shows how broke .. err umm how bad I am at body work... Err umm she wears her scrapes and booboos as a badge of honor!

Couple weeks ago there were 3 II's. Mine is the only one without fresh paint. She would look good sitting next to another OG painted car.

I'm pretty sure if we all lived closer to one another we'd end up at the same shows at some point. Or at least meeting up and making people look because they've not seen one Mustang II, let alone multiples, in a LONG time!

Yeah, I'm very happy with the current engine. My plans for it at this point are to pull it out, clean it, paint it, rebuild the motor mounts and replace the oil pan gasket and drop the whole thing back in.

Then I have a lot of shopping to do:

Ya'll can figure it out from there.

Do not get the cheaper brake kit from speedway. The one you picked should be fine. The brackets in your link is what I changed to after finding the steel plate ones lacking.

I had my axles redrilled by moser. It was $120 for the set. Your choice is the better option but if you are wanting to lower the budget that may be an option.
