Engine Spark plug wire looms… worth it?

I just use a couple of black zip ties to keep mine where they need to go. Had the looms on one car and they looked great but took up too much space and were a pain in the ass when it came to swapping plugs. Just my .02.

Heat shields are really nice "if" you need them. I do not use them on the 331 in the Coupe or the 351 in the TBrid and it has 1-7/8" primary custom long tubes. I usually see them when guys have blowers, turbos, or other things that make the space tight and hotter. If you are burning plug wires around the manifold area then you either need to reroute your wires or use the sleeves.

Depends on the headers.... I hate equal length shorties, I've seen so many burned wires from those so boots help there and on turbo set ups. Rest I just us the cheap plastic separaters that bolt to the vale cover.. Taylor, made4you, summit few other brands make them.

Do these work?

For the most part... But you need to make or recrimp your wires after putting them on.. Most have a ring that the plug boot won't fit threw, I'd look at reviews on them since there is a ton of super cheap China made ones , some are decent some are junk.

Any pictures here of some nice looms being used???

I use the Anodized aluminum ones seeings Anodize doesnt conduct electricity plus I wrap my wires and boots with EMI blocker shrink tubing too plus I also cut down on the ignition interference with Ferrite Bead Chokes...

The shrink tubing also blocks out moisture too...........Red boots for Bank 1 and Black boots for Bank 2

You lost me ( easy to do )... What are you using for heat shields around the headers and plugs?

I just pull the boots off and use a teeny tiny dab of Di-Electric grease to reinstall them effortlessly....

If I do have to recrimp the plug ends to the wires I have one of these....It works in a vise ...Makes perfect and tight crimps everytime...
