Which Engine Management system to use?

:bs: Not to start a war here, but you definitely do NOT know quite a few people who have "popped motors due to PMS units"...That is absurd and a totally bogus statement and I am 100% sure that you do not have any facts to back it up. In fact, it's comparable to making other blanket statements...

Traded in my Chrome Bullitts, for some....chrome Bullitts

If I wanted to be more like Paul, I'd have to lose 125 pounds, cut my feet off at the shins, and dye my hair brown... By having a red GT with all those mods, and only running mid 13's, are you trying to be the Anti-Paul? :rlaugh:

Which Engine Management system to use?

I'm a big fan of the PMS unit. Simple to use...No laptop needed, and it works. I have the new version in my 94 GT and was able to ELIMINATE all the idle and cold starting BS that even FordChip couldn't fix... Like Redsnake95 said above, there's tons of good info and help at his site.

    My Dyno vid from Saturday

I absolutely LOVE It!! I had the older version in my last car. In this car I use the brand new version and it is sweet! I previously had a FordChip that was custom burned on the dyno and I consider it a total waste of the $400 I spent on it. It's very easy to use, and there's tons of help at...

    My Dyno vid from Saturday

Pretty simple N/A "cookie cutter combo" actually... E'brock 60379 heads Cobra intake (extrude honed) AFM B-21 cam Pro-M 80mm meter & 30# injectors PMS for tuning MAC shorty headers, Bassani "catted" X pipe five speed/373 rear For the "assisted runs", I use an NOS brand dry nitrous kit...

    My Dyno vid from Saturday

LMAO!! That was me in the passenger seat doing the PMS tuning...lol... I got a little nervous when he told me to "buckle up".... after all, the dyno was a mobile type that was 6 feet up in the air... :rlaugh:

Traded in my Chrome Bullitts, for some....chrome Bullitts

Went from the "regular chrome Bullitts", to the deep dished Chrome Bullitts.... Same sizes 17x10.5's and 17x9's and got some new rubber too. 315/35/17 Nitto drag radials for the backs, 255/40/17 Hankooks for the front...

3.73's and RPM at the big end...

Same here. With nitrous, I am right at 6000 (and 116mph) going through the traps, but N/A I am barely at 5500rpm's (and 107mph)...

    My Dyno vid from Saturday

Here's my best dyno pull from this past Saturday at the SuperStallions of the Net Spring track rental at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland. This was a nitrous run. It made 372rwhp/425rwtq on this pull. FWIW, it made 286rwhp/309rwtq naturally aspirated...

    Lots of new numbers today

In a nutshell, here are the facts... The PMS works very well. It's reasonably priced. It's easy to use. No laptop needed. No chips to remove and re-burn. All changes take effect immediately and in "real time". I literally tuned my car yesterday in 5 pulls. Three total N/A pulls, one...

    Lots of new numbers today

Thanks. When I ran Paul (KillerCanary), I went a 12.03@116, so I knew it had an 11 in it...I've been studying the dyno sheets all night, lol. I have the graphs, but I also have the breakdown of the a/f and hp/tq at every 250 rpm's, so I can really tweak my PMS to fine tune it. Although the...

Ordering Edelbrock Performer Heads next week!

Rel, you can keep the stock valve covers if you use the Comp Cams rockers, or the Crane/Cobra 1.7's...I run the FRPP 1.7's (which are pretty big) with stock GT valve covers and just had to very slightly grind the very corners off of the four corner rocker arms... BTW, that sounds like a nice...

    My new wheels...

I got to see the car (and the wheels) in person today. They look better "LIVE" IMO...Pics don't do them justice... :nice:

    Lots of new numbers today

Thanks Joe, and you missed me whooping Paul....of course I "cheated" on that pass though...lol. Paul, his Dad, and myself also all got an extra added bonus after the racing was over. I'll let him fill you in on the details. Let's just say that it was a "picture perfect" day...hehe.
