Tech Help! Very Rough Idle At Low Rpm...why? - Carb Guys

Brand new engine with about an hour of total run time on it, it is a mildly bored 351W which should be a 357 now. Bottom line it runs like crap (to the point of dying) below 1,000 RPM, I'd call it rough between 1,200 and 1,500, and only smooths out at 1,600 and above. I know my cam is to blame...

Post Pics Of How Your Classic Mustang Currently Sits

Well she did leave and return to the garage under her own power today. But I have a REALLY soft brake, and a cooling issue to look into fixing before trying an 'around-the-block' excursion.

Post Pics Of How Your Classic Mustang Currently Sits

I just got my liquid filled hydraulic pressure gauge yesterday. Will hook it up to test the TV cable operation and if everything goes well my old girl may leave the driveway under her own power for the first time in about 24 years! Here's a very short video from last week with my son doing a...

    Rear Axle Brake Lines

Need a quick sanity check fellas...what size are the brake lines on the rear end of a '67? I don't think it matters but was for factory power disc setup with 8" rear. I think they are 3/16, but need to be sure.

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

When I sold my 2005GT I was routinely getting 21/22 during summer and 23/24 MPG in winter. Had aftermarket exhaust from heads to tips, a CAI, and custom tune on the chip, always ran full synthetic oil, but that high mileage on my commute involved 80-90MPH daily so I was not trying to max MPG...

You have some serious skill behind the wheel taking the KR out in the snow. My slightly modded NA 4.6 is a scary ride on the snow.

    Sticky Parking Break

Two days from now marks exactly five years from when I bought the pony, and this morning when trying to leave for work I got bit by this one. It was 17 degrees outside and the rear wheels were pretty much locked up. No point in trying to determine the cause, that has been covered here and...

    Water Leak! (please help)

Yes, that would be easier for routine maintenance, I'd suggest everyone who reads this to do it today just to check. The accumulation in mine over 4.75 years was too much for that to have worked well. I removed several handfuls of gunk. While it was apart I flushed the whole area too. I'm...

    Post Pics of Your Mustang

Any DOT issues with those halo lights? A buddy of mine has them on his SS/RS and they do look pretty cool, although a lady walking past us in the parking lot the other day told him she liked his new Mustang...lmfao!

    Water Leak! (please help)

OK, got her fixed, the water was coming in through the HEPA filter, and judging by the water line that was clearly visible it was about 4-5 inches underneath the water level. Here's the deal... Hardest part of this was getting the wipers straight up. I had to jiggle the ignition through it's...

    Water Leak! (please help)

If the intrusion source is in the A-pillar then I would not expect it to drip from the middle of the glove-box area (but further up beneath the dash), I'd expect it to come through the kick panel or just soak into the carpet. I'm going to try to pull the cowl using your instructions, thanks for...

    Water Leak! (please help)

I found the TSB (07-14-06) but I do not think that is my problem, my car is an early 2005, so it is almost 5 years old and never leaked before. If there was a bad weld, missing sealant or some grommet not fitted properly it would have done this before. I'm pretty sure there's a plugged drain up...

    Water Leak! (please help)

We've been in a very serous drought here in Central Texas for the last year or more, but this weekend we just got dumped on, like 7+ inches in three days. My Stang was parked in the driveway from around 5:00PM on Friday until about 6:00AM on Monday with it's nose a little higher than the tail...

    Installation of lowering springs

I'm looking for a write up on the installation of 4 springs. I found three of them here and all links are dead. EXAMPLE So does anyone have a write up or a link to the instructions?

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

it should go without saying...but just in case...and for the record... I am not nor would I consider insulting anyone's car. My comment had more to do with the humble nature of the Mustang line. As far as I'm concerned it is one of the aspects of the Mustang that I love the most, even up to...

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

The MII is a Pinto you know. Then again, the early Stang was a Falcon and the Foxes were really Fairmonts too...LMAO!

    68 GT500KR Vert Restomod Project

It looks cool, REALLY cool in fact, but I'm wondering about the super-thin windshield frame. That is structural on the old cars, assuming you are keeping the inner part of the unibody intact of course.
