    LRS rear control arms.....

Thanks to all of you for your answers and info sharing. Rebadged BBK stuff wouldn't be too bad. I loved my Megabite jrs on my previous surge demon vert, along with the Steeda upper arms. I just can't swing as much money into this car as I had in the vert. This car is in need of a LOT more...

    LRS rear control arms.....

This is what I was afraid of, nobody knows anything about them. They look a lot like ones sold by Blue Oval on Ebay. I remember reading something a couple years ago that wasn't good about the Blue Oval folks/products. I can't remember exactly what it was, just something that got my...

    normal operating temp issue???

I am in the same boat as you..so to speak. I installed a new thermostat months ago and I can't get the temp over 160*...even on a 100* day! Yes, I have an autometer temp guage installed. Looks like I'm going to have to wrestle with that darn heater bypass hose again! BTW, this was...

Why does everyone bash the Cobra intake?

Hey guys...jumping back into the mustang game after a long break. I had an orginal Cobra intake on my 93 vert i sold...very nice intake. I see you all talking asbout the Cobra's being made in China now. Is this ALL Cobra intakes now, or just some? Can you still find original Cobras or are...

    LRS rear control arms.....

Hi guys. I am finally going to try and get serious about working on this 92GT. I have sat on it for over a year ever since trading out my nice Explorer for my son to take to college. This stang is hurting in so many ways...... I definitely need some new upper and lower rear control arms...

What color for body side molding?

I agree with the guys about matched color mouldings. The black just stands out against the car color like it was something they forgot and had to add on later. Matching color trim helps blend the car's lines better IMO. Ken

    Strange sound from clutch cable???

Believe me, I wouldn't have asked without going under the dash for a look first! Everything looks fine, all tracking like it should. Still, it feels and sounds like that's where the noise and "tap' feel is coming from. The one thing I haven't had the time to do yet is pull the TOB cover...

    Strange sound from clutch cable???

Hey guys, another question for the experts. Battling the electrical wiring just isn't enough headache for me, so I thought I would add another problem to the mix. I have a MM non-adjust cable, steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster on this 92 hatch. The cable works smoothly and is adjusted...

    Thermostat vs temp help???

Yeah, guys...old age brain fart again. My thermostat housing is stock, with the sender towards the radiator. I did burp the system well, or thought I did. Worth a check this weekend to make sure. Thanks for the idea! I have thought about the idea of picking up a better condition car, but...

    5.0L Head install how to

Thanks for posting the info for us. I saved it to for possible later use. I paid big bucks to have my 93 done years ago, and they made a huge mess out of my car. The shop that did the work was actually Mike Murillos old Texas Jam. He had just left for Austin I believe. Those jokers should...

    Thermostat vs temp help???

Ok, just to make sure I've got this all straight.... The temp probe is located in the hole where the unfinished dimple is on the stock water neck. It starts with the engine face, then the temp probe, then the thermostat, then the water neck-tube going to the top of the radiator. The temp...

    Engine Falls Flat at 4500RPM

Just an idea....I had a similar issue on my 93 yrs ago. What happens if you increase your speed using less than full throttle? Like hold the accelerator down about 1/2 way or so and just keep accelerating. Let the RPMs increase up to and above 4500...how does it act? We scratched our...

    Thermostat vs temp help???

Thanks for the replies eveyone. I am sure the stat is installed correctly. I have done it a zillion times and I doubled checked the maintenance manual just to be sure when I did this one. Maybe my temps are a non-issue, don't know. My main concern is I know the peak efficiency for these...

    Thermostat vs temp help???

Hey guys, Last month i installed a new 195* thermostat when I installed my Autometer mechanical water temp guage. I filled the radiato with Prestone Ready mix anti freeze. I have never used the pre mixed stuff before. The car has a stock radiator in it with stock clutch fan and shroud. This...

    interior paint (dye)

I just received a can of the Resto gray paint and used it on parts of my center console I'm rebuilding. It went on great, matched great, and seems to be pretty durable. I'm happy with their paint product. BTW, I did spray a light coat of the Bulldog adhesion stuff on first. I found the...

Speedometer Needle bouncing....sofa king we tard did

I am also searching for a good lube to stop the dreaded speedo needle bounce. I tried using some basic grease which helped for about a week, then the needle started bouncing again. It started out with a tiny wiggle, then each day got bigger and bigger, then at many different speeds. I'm...

How is 50resto's Quality 87-93 foglight switch compared to OEM piece?

Yeah, I didn't ever think of a switch like that from good old Auto Zone either. I guess it never hurts to ask?! BTW...I do have the 50Resto switch. It seems to be working fine. I looked it over carefully and compared it to the old Ford switch and the only thing I noticed is the plastic...

    Holy crap!!! Please help!!!!

Wow, that is really strange. The only thing that seems logical to me is that when you push the clutch pedal down you are creating some type of ground out to the electrical system. Right above where your clutch quadrant sits there are a lot of wire bundles going in and out of the fuse panel...
