My new Ford Clutch Cable....it's goooooood!

Hey guys, I have been reading the million posts around here about which clutch cables to use. We started out with installing a "steeda" clutch quadrant/FWA/Cable package from 50resto. It lasted less than a year and stranded me last month where I had to be towed. Darn cable sheath came apart...

Ideas for fixing the E-brake rubber slot trim?

Wow guys, you all came through! I remember having the same problem on my 93 and tried ton's of ways to fix it, but none ever held. So, this company makes these as a direct fit for our cars? I'm on my way to check them out. This will sooooo make my day. I got this full console on Ebay...

    Fan keeps cracking

I have a replacement fan from 5.0resto that is cracking pretty good after only 12 months. The cracks are between the blades and seem to be slowly growing. Based on my experiences with my 93 before: I personally would not get a flex fan. I had one and that thing was loud and dangerous...

    strongest clutch cable?

I am in the same boat as a lot of you guys concerning clutch cables. Last year we installed the 5.0resto Steeda clutch quadrant/cable/FWA. Just last month the outer sheath self-destructed and left me stranded since the inner cable bound up tight. Had to get towed home. Needed something...

Ideas for fixing the E-brake rubber slot trim?

I couldn't think of the proper word for it, but hoping some of you guys might have some good ideas. I have a like-new center console going in soon and the only thing missing is that dumb rubber slit that the E-brake handle fits through. Only 1/2 of the prongs are still on the back. Has anyone...

    AC/Heater Control Problems...Help!

Hi guys, I am having some troubles...another in the long list...with the hvac control panel in my 92GT hatch. The temp control knob has been a bit "stretchy" since we bought the car a few years ago. I mean when you twist it it would feel like it was attached to a rubber band. The knob...

It sure sounds like you are tapping into the vref wire. Are you using the green and black wires to check the setting? Don't use the orange wire. Ken

    Several Questions, Help Pretty Please

magnj, Hey there...hope you are getting things sorted out. I must say...we have a LOT in common. I took over my son's 92 hatch and it looks and acts very similar in a lot of respects. I am kicking myself to no end about letting my gorgeous 93 vert get away :bang: We bought this car...

    fox lean?

I had the same issue on my old 93 vert. It is true that if the springs are not clocked properly you will get a slight difference in heights on each side. I was able to get mine "close" by clocking the spring pigtails in the correct position, but still had a bit of difference. I finally got it...

    Door arm rest pad question.

Fett, I have had both a 93 convertible, and now the 92 hatch. The arm rest pads on both are the same. I'm going from memory on the vert, but I'm sure they are the same. I had them on and off enough times to know. Go for your good deal and enjoy. Ken

    CLUTCH OR CABLE ?

Mine started doing the same thing earlier this week. Long story short, I had to have my car towed home today. The cable came all apart just before the firewall...bound the cable where it couldn't move. Firewall adjuster didn't help at all. This was a steeda cable. Unfortunately, I had to...

Rough day with the Stang today

Started out 2 days ago when the shifting seemed to start getting harder and harder to shift. I noticed the outer sheath had split. Finally today I get a break for lunch, so I head downtown to the auto parts store to pick up some supplies. Get back into the car and the shifter won't budge...

That's a good story Fett! You should have seen my face when I tried to drive away from a gas station once....but forgot to remove the pump handle from my car! It ripped that sucker right out of there alright! Tried to take the gas door with it. Ugly, embarrassing scene! I was so...

    Please Pass this on!!!!!

Man, you guys haven't seen anything yet! You should try to live a few years around here...Del Rio, TX. We are on the border...you can't even get a job in town unless you speak Spanish! I work on the Air Force base so it's ok for me, but the politics around here is unbelievable. Just in the...
