    c-4 to 4 speed swap

swap Mike, pretty much just get everything. Clutch and brake pedal, cable & adjuster, flywheel, block plate and keep the pressure plate and clutch disc for cores. Its not a bad swap, the holes for the clutch cable are allready marked for your car just drill them. Oh yeah get the speedo cable...

    powersteering disaster

pulley In need of a power steering pump for my 77 F-150 I used a M2 pump off a 76. The M2 pulley was a little smaller but the belt adjusted out just fine. If you need to get the car going dont worry about putting a M2 specific part on it.

All of the above The gas cap. The Mustang II would look better with a Bullet type fuel cap. Thats my no#1 dislike of the II exterior.

    engine conversion:which flywheel

The v6 tranny if it is factory will be the RAD, the only design offered in the 4,6 and 8 cylinder Mustang II Like Cobraman said you can make any of the v-8 stuff from other Fords work but how much work do you want to do? The v-8 bell and trannys are getting harder to come by but they are out there.

What would you do with my 77 V6 coupe if it was yours?

Have put the lacey wheels on it yet? Some white letters on the lacey wheels will make a big difference in appearance. If you like driving your car leave the motor alone. Maybe a Cobra II rear facing scoop and chin spoiler......

    the "NEW" King Cobra

Is the COBRA name a Ford trademark? I thought back in the 70's Ford and Shelby had issues with who owned the name. Seems to me that if Ford wanted to keep different non authorized versions of the car off the market they could. The car looked gawdy to me.

    Clutch Pedel Woe's

pedals Your problem may be the different years of parts. The pedal assembly in my 76 is different than my 78. I bet if you can locate some 78 pedals that will solve your problem. When I switched my 76 from auto to manual it was pretty straight forward and the only drilling was for the clutch cable.

87/92 dizzy Pat, I believe the 87/92 would be one of the two TFI type. No centrifigul or vacuum advance. Set the timing where you want it and thats it, too much timing and she might be hard to start.
