Hmmmm, you guys really have me wondering if it isn't ignition related now... hmm I may have to stick the points distributer back on it now.....
As far as the dyno tune, it is in the future....... unfortunatly the only place I trust around here is an hour and a half away and it won't make...
MSD distributer with mechanical advance.... timing is set at 10 degrees right now, has been anywhere from 6* to 22* trying to fix this and it is always present............
I think he may have it. I think what you are hearing is the TO bearing, I bet you have it improperly adjusted (more common than you think........) I will see if I can come up with the instructions for proper adjustment after I get off work.
Well the ac will cycle on and off like you are talking about, but if it only cycles on for like 1-3 seconds then cuts back off you are low on freon and probably have a leak...
k, little background. First it is not a stang but a ranger but we all bleed blue right????? Well it is a carbed 302 bored .040 over, '69 stang heads, mild port and polish (more of a simple polish and a 3 angle valve job), .498 lift @ .050 218 adv duration , Weiand X-Cellerater intake...
Simple, just take the bit and dip it in wheel grease that will catch 99% of the shavings), then drill very carefully and then yank it out and install a new one, run it for about 15 minutes and change the oil.
man, you are scarring me, you never ever rig a TV cable. period. Don't drive it till you get it fixed, any ford parts man worth anything will know exactly what you are talking about. Cost about $8 if I remember right.
If it runs fine with no bog or hesitation then run it where it is at. the earlier it is the more picky they tend to be, the later they are then they have more of an adaptive feature.
Need more info........... what year? anything newer than like 98 yeah we can usually cut it by the vin, earlier than that you are SOL, call a locksmith and they will do it, probably cost you $30 (well around here.)
LOL yeah you found your problem right there, the altenater is wired up where if you don't have the stock charging light it won't charge I had a similar problem after I installed my autometer's (well actually mine was that I tried an LED and it won't work") You have 2 choices, you can rewire it...
Taurus, Sable, Mustang, LS etc, will all work fine for a v8 stang, but if you can come up with a 2 speed Lincoln Mark fan then that is the grandady of all fans, hell it will move the vehicle by itself.
Well if it was me I would get it back togather add some oil, run it till it gets to temp then change the oil while it is hot, refill and change the oil again in 1500 miles, but I am anal about **** like that you will be fine with just adding oil getting it hot and changing the oil.
WOuld be a good idea to pull the head, but if you where going 150 when it came apart then the piece is probably already gone, either it disentergrated, or you now have the rare "ventilated" pistons.
