    Yeah, sorry about that, I meant belt and edited it as such, but it didnt change in the main forum. Just looked closer, its not the timing belt tensioner, its the serpentine. It makes a kind of pop pop pop noise. Thoughts?

    what does it mean when your volts remain the same with the a/c on, until you flip the fan on, at which point they dip enough to make the headlights dim a little and the idle rough every few seconds. any thoughts?

    update here, if i mash on the gas the light dims/almost goes out. but over the course of about a 20 minute ride the amp gauge steadily went lower and lower until i caved and shot home. any thoughts?

    okay guys thanks for the replies. i took the alternator off and had it tested, it was bad. got a new 80 amp dealy, threw it in, changed the positive cable. NOW, the stock amp gauge still reads pretty low, like 2 notches above the red, and the low battery/low amps warning light is on. thoughts?

    i seem to have a quirky shifter. i put the car in park, shut it off, and when i try to restart it sometimes it wont sense that its in park until i play with the lever a little bit. i seem to have to force it forward until i hear a kind of dull metallic ping or thud. and then it starts. thoughts?
