Why no 05 LX 4.6 mustang? think about it

They tried that in 94-95 with the GT-S and it didn't sell well at all. I don't think they'd bother again, evethough I'd like a stripped GT. Carlos

    Advice On Purchase

Sounds like a good buy for the money. Brakes have to be redone anyway. The tranny problem and oil leak are inconsequential since you'll be replacing the engine and tranny anyway. As for the seat flaws, what the heck, seats are cheap anyway. DO IT!!! :D Carlos

worth the time to swap in a 5 spd?

To answer your original question, YES it is worth the time. My first Stang was an auto and after that, I didn't buy another auto Stang againl Carlos.

Same here. I'm 5'10'' and was completely comfortable. More comfortable than in any other Stang I've owned. Carlos

Might get 93 4 cyl for gf..help for a sec...

They are reliable, like the guys say, just keep it in 2nd and 3rd longer when accelarating on freeway onramps and she'll be fine. For everyday driving, the 5-speed is quick enough. Carlos

    2005 V6 automatic?

According to some dealer info I saw, the 5-speed 05 4.0 is averaging high 14s ET. So an auto is probably a second back. And as for fuel economy, I used to average 19 on my '96 5-speed, and they are more efficient than autos. The newer Stang isn't gonna be any better. Carlos

1996 Mustang... was it worth it?

The head gasket probs were 94-95 and '96s built before 01/96 or thenabouts. I had a '96 5-speed built in 03/96 and I got to 102K with absolutely no probs except for the water pump at 92K. Carlos

Pics of 05 Stang Hertz rental

My brother is an Ops. Manager at Hertz and they just received 20 for rent. This is one of them. It's been awhile since I've driven a Stang, but I feel this one rides smoother than the pre-05s and both front seating positions feel way more spacious. I think the interior design is a homerun and...
