    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

Thanks for asking. I don't regret my decision. It is a better long-haul cruiser than I thought it would be. I had to take a trip to MI (550 miles) and only stopped for gas and a snack. I didn't get tired or sore at all. Overall a very nice car. What I don't like is the understeer though...

    Mustang II 302

Maybe it was 8 degrees. :) He emailed me and his car is running great now. Nice car too.

    help...suggestions on suspension

I have BMR lowers and the Steeda upper. The lowers are a little noisy. Steeda says they have special bushings that reduce noise on their lowers. I have not compared the two on my car, but it would be worth an extra $100 if they actually were quieter, IMO. I found the lowers helped some, the...

    Mustang II 302

My old Haynes manual does not have that listed, but if memory serves me correctly, it is 6 degrees BTDC. You can at least start there and go up until your get the dreaded ping. Don't forget that the firing older is the old school version of 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

How perfect do you expect your new car to be and what do you take in for warranty wor

Yea...coming from about 20 different 302 powered cars in the past this is a change for me too. These engines make some funky noises, but they have a lot more moving parts than are old engines did. They seem to like to rev more also!

    "clunk" sound when shifting

I added the Steeda adj 3rd link Saturday. It drastically reduced my wheel hop problem and added no new noises. I am knocking on wood though. Gotta give it a week or so of driving to test. :) No clunking as I still have the BMRs removed. Thought I would share.

    "clunk" sound when shifting

I re-installed the factory LCAs this morning and have been driving all day without any strange sounds. You can still hear a little something when you shift, but you have really have to listen for it. I would say it is back to where it was when it had 6 miles on the odometer. Now...why are the...

    "clunk" sound when shifting

Will do. I was just reading some old threads on the all Ford Mustangs forum and quite a few people describe the problem I seem to have. If you go there and search "shift clunk" you will see a few. A couple of V6 threads match my problem closely. Also, it seems like it does it after I have...

    "clunk" sound when shifting

Maybe. It's hard to describe these things sometimes. I really noticed it after putting in the BMR LCAs. It could be that I was listening for noises though. I'll throw the stock ones back in to see if there is any difference. If not, I guess I will test the local dealer.

    "clunk" sound when shifting

The clunk I am talking about is transmission noise. The shifter may help transmit the transmission noise through the body by the way it is mounted, but if it was the shifter itself, you would be able to hear it with the car at a standstill too. My clunk happens during a shift and sounds...

    "clunk" sound when shifting

OK...to verify. This is a noise that you all are hearing BEFORE you release the clutch? If so, I am getting this too. I can go from 1st to 2nd and back and forth at 5 miles an hour and it clunks. This is leaving the clutch disengaged. I just want to make sure I have the same issue so I can...

    Noise from Bell housing

1400 miles and I am hearing a clunk when shifting now. I can do it in my driveway. As long as the car is moving and I shift from 1st to 2nd, I can hear it. Maybe the clutch isn't 100% disengaging? We have a synchro in reverse now, so it is hard to tell for sure. I just noticed this a couple...

    Fuel Gauge Problem...

I only have 600 miles on my car but experienced losing more than 1/4 tank at one time. I think it was when I hit a curve pretty hard. It went to about 1/8th tank and then slowly start to come back to about 1/2. It didn't return to normal until the next day. At first I was shocked to see how...

05 COUPE GONE, WELCOME 06 VERT

Have you stood next to an old Boss 302 lately? That thing is low. Anyway, I always made fun of my buddy's '95 Cobra as I had my '95 lowered and they just look so much nicer lowered. Now I have an '06 and I don't plan on lowering it soon, so he keeps sticking his hand between the wheel and...

    1st ding ;o(

That sucks! I know how it feels. Someone hit my '95 Monday. I thought I avoided it, but I saw it on the bumper today. It was at a Hardees parking lot. Cracked the paint a little in the bumper. I didn't notice it the day I got hit as I was looking at the rear quarter, where I thought he hit...

Anyone have a Centerforce dual friction clutch?

I have a CF DF in my '95. It is a smooth clutch with very little pedal effort and it grabbed even when I had the KB in the car with no problems. I will say that at higher RPMs it wants to grab when the clutch pedal is pushed in. It is part of how that design works. It grabs more with RPM and...

can some one tale me more about my order

That guy is awesome. I registered over there and I can login, but not post or modify my options. I have never run across that before. Anyone else have that problem, or does it take a couple of days to get approved? I wanted to see if my car is actually still going to be built this week.

'04 Cobra Convertible or '06 GT Convertible?

Totally different cars. The '06 GT is good for every day driving, but the Cobra has a pretty stiff clutch. For a toy car, it would be hard to beat the Cobra. Also, depends on what you like as far as looks. They don't look anything alike either.

what will "Alloy Grey" look like for 07?

It's going to be very dark. The description I got sounded a lot like DSG (which is what my LS is). I was told it is close to black. Very dark metallic gray.
