    Swapping Switches???

    Ahh yes the old "melted wire situation" Seems every II has that problem. The way I fixed it was to take the load off the switch... By wiring in a relay. So now when you move the climate control switch from off, it send the switch's power to the relay to turn on the power to the fan switch.

    Just a quick tip, I had a problem with header gaskets somtimes blowing out, all that ended when I started to coat anti seize on both sides of the gasket, no more blow outs, and the gaskets come off easy.

    Most people say an x pipe makes more power, but I'm a follower of KISS... "keep it simple stuipd" I dunno how big the x pipe is, or how it will fit in a II, the H pipe was easy, and works.

    I'm running hoosier quick time pro tires, I had no tubes, but due to hard launches, the rim was slipping inside the tire. 30psi in them seems like alot, I'm only running 15psi in mine with tubes, and rim screws. I don't know if running these tires on the freeway is a good idea, for the reasons...

    I kinda ran into some of the issues with my 302 this winter. I put on a milodon 8 qt pan, thus I had to use a mini starter, and then the pan would hit the manual rack and pinion. I solved this problem by building some spacers to space the engine up 1/2 an inch, yet then this caused problems...

    Towing a C4?

    The reason why your not suppose to tow an automatic, is that when the engine is not running, the transmission pump is not pumping lube to critical areas. So a short runs like around the block would be fine, but 11 miles, I would pull the driveshaft off.

    The only difference is, that some earlier C4 transmissions had different dipstick locations. The earlier years had the dipstick that went into the pan, it actually attached on the side of the tranny pan. Later C4 transmissions had the dipstick go through the case right behind the bellhousing...
