    u-joints

I second spicer, though right now I'm running a "performance" GMB at the trans, and a standard GMB at the rear to sort of act as a fuse. Gonna change to spicers this winter.

would anyone be interested in a LH (drivers side) solid motor mount

I built one for my II about a year ago, and I still have the jig and patterns I used. So since it's cold, and I had nothing going on I built two more. BTW, V8 only. I don't know about price, it takes about two hours to make one, how does $35+ shipping sound? Anyone intersted PM me.

    Small block cam/intake suggestions?

you've got several things to consider, first, find out if you're going to have any piston to valve clearance issues, you'll have to mock the engine up. Second, figure out how many rpm you want to pull with this engine. Roller cams are the fad now, BUT.... many people are building killer flat...

    Holley 600 on a 77 302

It shouldn't be like this. Maybe I'm lucky, but I've been able to get holley carbs to work well on everything. My car has had 5 different setups. 600 edelbrock, 600holley vac secondary, 750 holley vac secondary, 650 double pumper, and now a modified 750 double pumper. The thing is, is that...

    Holley 600 on a 77 302

I've had the same thing happen to me with a 750 on a 302. You drive along fine, and just slightly ease into the throttle, just a bit. What I found was my problem was the power valve. If you were to hook up a vacuum gauge and drive around town, you would be able to see at what inches of vacuum...

    Want to keep V-Belts

The bracket is just made out of straight pieces of I think 3/4 by 1/8th inch steel. I made the top piece first, then the bottom and tacked the two together while on the car so I was sure everything lined up correctly. Then take it out weld it and it's as good as gold. I think you can get the...

    Want to keep V-Belts

I ditched the PS pump, and ran a one belt V belt setup. It was easy to set up, all stock parts can be used exept you have to make one little bracket. I've attached a little pic of the alt bracket I made, I think I was able to use one of the stock alum spacers with no mods at all.

    Supercharging!!!????

a key issue to keep in mind is pulley depth. I've a few different setups on other 302s, and 5.0s, and what is kinda scary is the pulley on the crank, it's pretty long.

    mig welders

I would go with something like this: http://store.cyberweld.com/millermatic175.html I purchased my miller dynasty from them since it was the cheapest place I could find. the Miller 175 is almost the same machine as the Hobart Handler 175, BUT has independent controls. On a side note, if you...

    mig welders

I still have an old century 110v mig welder that I use. Go with gas, but you can still run flux. Flux wire is good when you have air circulation, such as outside that would blow the shielding gas out of the way, and flux wire penetrates a little deeper. I've been looking at getting a bigger...

    Piston choices

As far as what type and brand to run, I guess it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. Another consideration to think about is what are your future plans, are you going to add other things later, maybe a camshaft that is more agressive, or perhaps a sneeze of nitrous. I'm running...

    Project update

I have also read somewhere that a moroso pan (what one I don't know) will work, perhaps the person who is running one posts here?

    Project update

it may be possible to use a different pan, but you would have to go to a mini starter as well... I would like to do this, but I have no idea what would fit.

Mustang II aftermerket rack and pinion

Hi all, currently I am in the process of rebuilding the suspention and steering in my II, I've got a flaming river manual rack, everthing is perfect except that the coupler that adapts the splines on the rack to the rag joint is not working. I overlooked the fact that the factory power rack has...

    Holy header headaches Batman!

I would go to a front motor plate and do away with the motor mounts, then getting headers to fit would be no problem... I did read in a magazine a long time ago about headers and what would make the most hp and torque. They tried all sorts of headers on a 400 hp 302, and a set of headman...

    Which Exhaust?

I have headers, h pipe, hooker max flow mufflers, all runs out the rear in stock location, 2 1/2. I posted a recording at a website, this is taken in the car while driving... http://www.exhaustsoundclips.com/sound/ford_mustang2_1977_302v8_2.5inpipe_hookermaxflowmufflers_hpipe.html

    trannie cooler

I run a b&m cooler on my II, the fluid comes from the trans to the radiator, then goes to the cooler in front of the radiator, and back to the trans. I was told that this is wrong, but I belive that if you cooling system is up to the task, why not cool the trans fluid to around what the engine...
