    I like to dadjust the timing by ear. while the engine is running turn it one way and listen for motor hesitation, remember that spot. Then turn it the other way and find where the hesitation on that side starts, remember that one to. now place the distributor in the middle of both those points...

    torque is generally a little above the HP on these motors, but it all depends on how you build the motor. I woul dlike to see the Supercharger. I thought someone was building a supercharged 2.3 on here at one time?? dunno. TF

    Agreed. but I dont see how you destroyed it. those springs are really stiff. LOL but if you used any tools to try and "open" it then you proly did do some damage. also make sure your pump is doing its job. have fun. TF
