    MUSTANG II TAILLIGHTS

The LEDs shine from the side of the strip making great for low profile installs like I did between the red lens and bezel.

Paint and Body King Cobra Stripes

I took all my pin striping off. A previous owner made a mess of it. Once it was off I liked the cleaner look without them.

Least favorite II mod and guilty pleasure II mod...

Least favorite mod- wheels and tires too big for a car that came with 13's. 15's max for me, I like to keep it old school. Also, cloning it to something it was not. Guilty pleasure- keeping everthing old school looking but modern suspension, brakes, exhaust, engine internals and LED lighting.

T-5 input shaft for a Mustang 2 Bell housing

Use the 90 T5 and go with a QuickTime bell RM-6053, it is bolt in, no need for pilot bearing spacers and it clocks the fork down low like a II bell for easy header clearance. Granted they are not cheap, but it's worth it. I also went with a Fox clutch and fly wheel (I have an 83GT engine in...

    1976 Mustang rear end swap

You can use Explorer 8.8 with disc brakes but the drivers side needs to be shortened 2". Then you get another passenger side axle to put in the shortened side. The axle need to be stripped of all mounts and II spring mounts welded on. Here is the old Mustang II net site that is still viewable...

    new to the mustang ll

You need a II specific oil pan. Yeah, some modify and make others fit but there isn't anything direct fit aftermarket. The pans are had to find and not cheap. If the motor mounts were left in the car the 85 will drop right in, I have a 83HO in my King (ordering crate motor soon)). If you don't...

    Drivetrain 1974 v6 to v8 swap questions

Go T5, you will not regret it! You can get a Quicktime bell housing and aftermarket dual hump trans bracket designed for the II as well. Not sure on V6 to V8 drive shaft lengths. I have a 74 V6 Ghia and have been thinking about a V8 swap too, but I bought a King Cobra and did the T5 swap for the...
