    Like I said , something a little scientific. check intake and engine temp, make a run without piping through fender or headlight out. make a run at the same temps with the headlight in or without the piping,( stock style) . I don't doubt that you ran faster, was it because they are not as good...

    if it doesn't buff out, you haven't lost more than a few bucks. Pay a shop to do it if you don't feel comfortable. 3M makes good stuff, others are available.

    I wonder if plenum spacers will be more beneficial or allow for greater tuning to the other mods. Maybe they say somewhere, are they making a Carburator version as well or an adapter?

    I would like to see if there is an ET or MPH difference that is noticable. On mine it was not, but not a scientific test either. I ran straight filter behind headlight, run with and without did not change anything.

    that trap is high, especially for an auto. I didn't see that before. If that is the ET with a 2.0 60 ft then you can pick up at least .2 in the 1/4. Play with the tire pressure a little.     Steeda does not use the stock dampener, March piggbacks on the stock dampener. The March will have the stock dampener attached to it on th outside with no belt on it and the Steeda will look more stock. Both will work and do the same thing with no problems if installed properly.

    I have heard about grease and soap. I go fo using the slide hammer tool and saying a lot of awful things until it comes out.
