I was planning on heading down to PIR tonight from up here in Tacoma to possibly get a few runs in. Weatherchannel.com says that there's a 30% chance of rain tonight starting at like 4pm. Is there anyone in the area that's also planning on racing tonight that can tell me what it looks like...
He Bill, I know this is :OT: , but about how many pass down the 1320 does your poor stock bottom end have on it? These modulars seem to go forever. :nice:
I love mine as well. Whoever says that pullies and TA's do do anything is a jackass, or just has bad luck and didn't pick up any power. I really wanna go and get my car on the dyno. I don't even know how much timing she will take. I've had it up to 15* on 92 octane and no pinging. I want to...
Hopefully we got this thing settled. We all now know that lower gears will net a higher top speed(4.10>3.27), right? Okay then, time for an :OT: question. Does the top speed governor depend on what the speed rating of your factory tires were? I have heard that the V6 cars and the GT's that...
I think I used visegrips too. I got the stupid thing out, drilled the pedal, put the Steeda ones on, and then even got it back in the car. What really sucked was when I realized that I hated the Steeda pedals, ripped them off, and cussed a lot because of all of the time I had wasted. :nonono:
My Pro3i's seem to work great, they are a 4-bolt design, and costed a bunch less than MM. Not flaming MM, I know they make great products, but these just seemed more in my price range. My 2 cents.
I'm nearing 47k on mine, and with the 4.10's, I can still catch a nice 3rd gear chirp :D . But, 37k of those miles the car belonged to a chick, and I really don't think she was hard on it.
I had the drone problem with my Flowmasters, so I swapped in a Magnaflow cat-back, seriously upgraded the stereo, and added 4.10 gears. Problem solved. :D
Does anyone have any reliable dyno info on any of the TB/plenum combos on a stock/lightly modded GT? I wanted that to be my next mod (after DR's and subframes), but I want to know if they actually give any significant TQ/HP improvement. Another 5 ponies would probably sell me on it. :nice:
If I were you, I wouldn't waste my money and time doing a headswap with 120k on the stock motor. With the new power and higher compression, I personally don't think that the bottom end will last forever. If you're gonna do it, do it right and either rebuild your engine and do the headswap in...
I have brand new Nitto 555's in 275/40-17 and 4.10's. I went out shortly after the gears were installed in cold weather and tried to launch the car. :rlaugh: Not gonna happen, unless you ease into it. Just idling with the clutch out and slamming the loud pedal will ignite the tires. Then, I...
.......And every '00 Cobra R clutch they put in it. What did the article say? Didn't it go through like 8 clutches in a big hurry? I also like how they threw a 9" rear in it too. Oh yeah, and it weighs a bit less than a cast iron 5.4. :nice:
