    i don't know how expensive it is, but i guarantee the money would be much better spent on a tweecer tuner ($550 for rt model) or a dyno tuned chip (roughly same price, will vary though).

    if your headers won't have a bung, don't bother with it if you don't need to worry about emissions laws. remove the egr stuff like i explained in the above post.

    the only reason i disconnected the egr is because my headers didn't have an egr bung. there's no real reason to disconnect it unless you buy headers that don't have a bung. there is no performance gain or anything as far as i know. here's the egr stuff: you shouldn't have any problems...

    any extra noise or loss of performance? you could just as well change your oil since it's about that time anyway and check it after a little drive if you want to rule out a blown head gasket.

    no. egr puts exhaust gas back through the block. the smog/air pump (thermactor) pumps air into the exhaust pipe to make the catalytic converters work better. he could still run egr w/an off-road h-pipe. running smog equipment would be pointless, though.
