    Can you run power steering and A/C on the same belt?

    After major pains finding out that I have a mix of 69-70 A/C parts and waiting on the UPS man the setup I mentioned earlier works. I ran the compressor and the alternator on the same belt and charged the system and it ran like a champ, just in time for winter :damnit:

    Frost, I know that the long tubes are the best way to go and you will see the most gain but whoever told you that you will see no gain from shorty's over stock needs to put there crack pipe down. Just from the standpoint of looking at the design where you see the 4 exhaust ports going into 1...

    Bnickel, It almost sounded like you were describing my car, the only difference is I had my Hedmans Jet Hot coated and I like the fit on mine as well. Already had to pull my AOD for a seal leaking and did not have to remove the exhaust :nice:

    Idles smooth, stalls in gear

    I agree with the earlier posts and I would like more information about the carb. On my setup with everything rebuilt nice and tight, I had to crack open the secondary's because it was not getting enough air. Is your choke wide open as well?

    Fuel pump eccentric question

    The 1 piece eccentric you are looking at is the correct one, as for the dowel pin I would be surprised if you could not get one from Summit or a cam manufacturer. The eccentric usually does not come with one.

    Nasa, the coupe glass is different because it was made to go in a channel to go up and down vs. the fastback hinged glass.

    Sorry but do not have a good answer to #1 question but I have never been able to deal with TCI directly either. As for the second, I have dynamat and did not use another underlay product because my carpet as well as most, come with the insulation already glued to the carpet.

    vacuum question

    My 69 should be very similar to the 70 application, but the vacuum can is there like a storage tank so when you need vacuum to move the heater/AC controls it will provide a large amount of suction to move the actuators quickly. This is different from earlier models that had some cables.

    I would be surprised that the curved Monte Carlo bar would not work with the HEI because my Accel was too tall for the straight one.

    I know on my setup I used the curved Monte Carlo bar and I also could only use one of the vertical holes with the two on the top per side.

    Cam/timing gear dowel question

    I am surprised that it will not work with the one's supplied, remember the pin only sticks through enough to be flush with the eccentric. If not the cam bolt will not tighten properly.
