Leaking oil and not sure where.

i had an oil leak from a loose fitting in the front of the car near the steering rack. I noticed oil running down a hose while I was under there changing the oil out. Not sure what it was but i just tightened the fitting to fix it. It was already super tight and i had to use some force, but...

    is backfire bad??

what you're describing is actually called afterfire (commonly called backfire but 2 different things) and no it is not bad. The function of the cats is to break up unburned fuel to make cleaner emissions. When you remove the cats, the fuel ignites in the exhaust causing an explosion and the...

    X pipe or H pipe?

ok so, if I get a catted x pipe, will the magnapacks sound alright or will it be raspy? NOt sure if I should get the regular flows or the packs. I was looking at the packs because its louder but I am worried about raspyness because its a straight through design. I like it loud and deep and...

    X pipe or H pipe?

heh i still cant decide whether i want an x/h and the magnaflow/packs. wish I could hear all the combos in person ;) After reading it seems like MRT catted H w/ packs or bassani catted x with the packs would give me a good sound without too much rasp.

    MRT catted H: Initial impressions

k&n filter, 4.10's, then midpipe, then catback! and don't look back. don't waste money on an intake like i did until you do plenum/TB.

    how are these?

it doesn't give you a true reading at WOT which is when knowing your a/f is the most important. You need a wideband o2 sensor and something that can convert the voltage reading off it into a a/f reading. You can just buy a bosch wideband o2 sensor for like $50-60 or whatever it is and then get a...

Hesitation when starting when engine is warm

yea thats why i hold the gas in a little when I start it. then it gets that nice rumble instead of a stalling bog sound

    how are these?

it will be ok for part throttle and idle I believe, but don't trust it @ WOT which is when you need it. You're either going to need to pay for a dyno or buy a LM-1 or Dynojet wideband commander.

Dynoed the car today (while the stereo was ON)!! *graph inside*

my voltage drops when i crank mine. all the interior lights dim and flicker. I can't wait to see what happens with the UDP's haha. I guess it's time for a good battery and cap for the amp.

July 24 - 2nd Annual Central Jersey Mustangs & Fords Car & Truck Show!!!

i stopped by to check it out for like an hour. didn't seem like many people were there, i guess because it looked like it was going to rain :( I saw maybe like 30 stangs @ the show, but a good amount were running down the track beating on the f-bodies ;)

Hesitation when starting when engine is warm

what i do is just push the gas down about a quarter way and let off real fast when it fires, runs great. My auto stalled in reverse today backing out of the driveway. First time it's ever done that and it only has 23k on it.

Hesitation when starting when engine is warm

mine does this too. think it's because it idles @ like 500-600 when warm and 900-1100 when cold

    Finally got my 4.10's in.

im almost wondering if i should just get the stock diff and axles replaced with 31 splines when i have my gears put in this monday :P how much extra did it cost you guys for the parts? I can kill the 4 bank sct and udp's if i had too. Or should I just wait till my current rear breaks? :P

    u/d pully brands

steeda is the best. steeda has a replacement crank pulley unlike the other's which piggyback onto your stock one. this results in the belt alignment being off causing it to slip off after some time which can be bad when you're driving n the middle of nowhere at night! get the steeda :)

    Replacing Oil Pressure Switch

Does the oil pressure switch just screw out and I screw new one in and reconnect wire? Do I need to drain the oil out of the car before I change this? If so, I'll wait till I change my oil again before I do it. Do I need to torque it down to certain specs or just tighten it down hard? (Yes I'm a...
