    28's in an aftermarket axle should hold up just fine running 7's in the 1/8. Hell I run 31 spline in my 65 and run high 5's in the 1/8. However, if your replacing the diff anyways no reason not to change to 31's. Personally a 2600 stall is probably still not loose enough IMO.

    I would say 2000-2400rpm at cruise would be nice. 14-15AF at cruise. It it was fuel injected then you could play with timing to give the least amount of TPS% at that cruise speed.

    Ran out of fuel injector and went lean. Actually was pretty much out of injector at 7000-7200 rpm and went thru the traps at 8000-8100. Went from 120's to 225's, should be no issue now.

    Lift isn't everything, duration and the timing of the cam at low lift will have more issues that total lift. P/V clearance is actually the closest when the valve is open very little.
