Rack & Pinion- Power vs. Non

Mines a flaming river manual rack. However the front of my car is a little lighter than a stock one since I did the AJE deal. 100% happy with it.

EFI - locating the fuel pump

Exactly, yours is below where your fuel level would be most the time. Should work great like you have it.

    Blown65, Hows the project??

Cool. I'm selling my carb and going EFI. Just wanted something a little more reliable on the street and the Fast XFI is such a nice piece I couldn't resist anymore. LOL Plus the safety of it auto correcting for A/F on a blown deal is kinda piece of mind. Still a good month away though...

    Total timing

Really going to depend. Fuel, compression, how hot the air intake is. etc etc. Just get used to looking at your plugs would be my advice.

    66 mini tub updates/streched fenders

Dennis, did you have to trim the front of the fender lip to fit the 28's. I know where mine sits with 28" tall slicks on the top end they hit pretty good right there when you get off the gas. Any side pictures maybe? I would love to run 275/60/15's on mine instead of the 50's.

Has anyone checked out AJE's new front end?

Answered your other post, but that's how mine was also. No worries. Can you snap a picture of the portion of the strut where it mounts to the ball joint? Is it steel or aluminum on yours. Mine was aluminum the first time and that crap just about got me killed at the drags. They swapped it...

Looks good. Ya those are some pretty short front tires. heh Roll out would be crazy at the drags. I'd redlight every time.

EFI - locating the fuel pump

You can have it above the bottom of the tank. Key thing is to have it below where you would have your fuel level when full so if you do run out once you fill the tank it will prime itself. Mine was about mid way down the tank and worked just fine. That way even with a half a tank of fuel it...

My AJE k-member, is it right

That's how mine are also. What motor are you doing?

    Blown65, Hows the project??

Getting close to getting the motor back together. All the parts are back from the machine shop, just waiting on a few small parts. Maybe by week end it will be much closer, at least to the point of ordering the pushrods it needs. :) Cage is in and ready though. Interior is at the shop...

    Best way to lift motor

Mr. Gasket 33027G - Mr. Gasket Engine Lift Plates - Overview - SummitRacing.com Done it this way for years and never a problem. They did some testing on it and it supports way more than the engine/trans combo weights. I believe it was hot rod or something of that nature.

    Best way to lift motor

I just use the Carb plate and pull from there on the front hole. I have one of those pictured but hate using it. The Carb deal works perfect IMO
