in case u ever wondered what the s/c cobras rwhp stock..

Paid $4,500 for the stang, paid $5500 for the LS1. The LS1 was a steal the guy I bought it from lost his job and was about to lose his house. However F-bodys don't hold there value very well. They can be had for 4K and up depending on condition and mileage.

I agree with that but again I didn't bring up the 351. A 347 is a much better comparison in this debate and will make more power than a stock LS1, not a modded one. And for the record a 347 goes well beyond a few bolt on parts.

If you choose a 347 over a 351 thats your business, I could care less. 515 HP is nothing, really? A 347 can easily do it? OK wheres your proof? What combo? What 347 have you seen that made 515hp NA, surely you of all people have some sort of dyno sheet or link to back that argument up. All...

Can we prove it wrong? Can you prove it correct? And the problem here ain't quite as simple as you make it out. Martyd asked a question earlier in the thread. " With a $4000 budget which would make more power an LS1 or a 351w? ." Well lets look at that question from a practical stand...

I think revhead pretty much knocked it out of the park but let me add to that. When I say far superior design and more efficient I'm not just talking about the heads I am more so refering to the block. Everyone knows the more rigid the block the more power your gonna make. Considerable...

Do you two really believe that Im suggesting that a 302 block cannot be built to compete with an LS1? Really? I didn't think I had to spell this out but let me do so for the record. " How fast you go is directly related to how much your willing to spend." Everyone happy, are we all on...

in case u ever wondered what the s/c cobras rwhp stock..

No the difference in weight is not a lot but 200lbs is 200lbs. The only thing a SBF and an LSX engine have in common is the fact that they are both pushrod engines, short of that they have nothing in common. The LSX is a far superior design and way more efficient then the SBF, comparing the...

Is rebuilding with fox style intake and computer worth it?

Well you raise good points as well. I will not argue that a good tuner makes all the difference in the world. It can literally make you or break you, that ain't no lie. So if your lucky enough to live near someone with proven experience, that knows how to tune these cars and won't rape you in...

What GM should have done is what ford did with the mustang. Go back to the 67 version of the GTO and start your design from there. IMO it just didn't pay enough tribute to the orginal GTO. Nothing about the car said GTO, I think it insulted more people then it impressed. IMO the car would...

Is rebuilding with fox style intake and computer worth it?

It always makes me laugh when 94-95 guys start talking about newer technology everytime the A9L gets compared to the T4MO. The car is 14 years old buddy, its ALL old technology. And your argument that the newer computer is gonna have a processing speed advantage over the older one means...

    Autozone IAC.

Are you nuts??:notnice: With all the problems a bad IAC can cause on these cars, you wanna buy one from autozone. If you need air filters, car wax, tireshine, airfreshners, oil or filters go to autozone. If you need anything electronic or anything else for that matter go somewhere spend...

Is rebuilding with fox style intake and computer worth it?

Well I guess this is where I part company with the rest of the heard. Nobody can feed me the "well its old technology argument" or the faster processor BS. I have personally used the A9L on a variety of different combos. I know guys who are running 347 combos with stock A9L programs and are...

Is rebuilding with fox style intake and computer worth it?

Im gonna say yes to both. I don't care for the sn95 cold air intake setup. It hurts the mass air flows ability to get an adequate reading. The turn into the fender causes the air to roll as it hits the mass air and causes surging issues and stalling. With regards to the A9L I like the...

Note quite sure I follow you here. The mustang had the better interior but thats it. Between 94-02 stock for stock the F-body absolutely dominated the mustang on the street and at the track. By the time ford could come up with a mustang that could compete it was a year after the F-body was...

+1 Im sorry you guys are nuts. Look if your in love with the 94-95 stang thats fine, but to insist that its got a better interior or is in anyway even remotely better than a C5 corvette is completely ridiculous.:bs: I like the 94-95, I've had three of them but Im not even going to try to...

I think what his point was, you need a really good HCI setup to hit that number. Then you need to drop $500-$750 on a good tune just to be able to run that combo. All for 300hp which IMO is no where near enough firepower on the streets around here, hell six bangers are doin that. In the...

    Should I sell the S-Trim?

Yeah well that supercharger setup can nickle and dime you to death too. I complained about filing up the bottle but knowing what know now I would have kept the nitrous. Just from a tuning standpoint that supercharger was a nightmare. Way too expensive and a complete headache.

    Should I sell the S-Trim?

Yeah I know, not trying to make it about me. I agree an S trim aint gonna do it, turbo would definately be the way to go. Not saying you can't do with nitrous but I hate filling bottles too.
