    Affordable monthly payments and insurance?

For $250/month payments (60mo), you're looking to finance between $13.5k and $14.5k depending on interest rates. Your down payment would just be the difference between that and the price of the car you want. For insurance, your best bet would be to just call your insurance company and get a...

Painted Lines on the top of hood, trunk, and roof

Yea, that lighter silver is the Satin Silver they're offering on the 05. The Titanium (or Tungsten) silver is supposed to come out for the 06 MY.

Those stripes are silver, not white. :) ... I'm getting black stripes on mineral grey. Haven't decided whether I want to go vinyl or paint though.

For those of you who have ordered...

I went to the manager and he's the one that sent me to the person I dealt with. I told the manager I wanted to order a 2005 Mustang and that I knew all the options I wanted. The only thing I had to ask the salesperson about is the quality of the leather they put in the Mustangs. Beyond that I...

2005 Mustang GT with 20" rims.

I wonder how much the GT-R wheel & tire setup will cost. Definitely something I'd look into buying.

For those of you who have ordered...

Good to know.... Question, was it a bad idea for me to not mention pricing at all when I placed my order? I don't plan on paying anywhere near MSRP as the dealer didn't even know what half the options were. I had to explain it to him. With all the work I've done to get this car... maybe...

See if you can still breathe after you see this.

The "1967 Shelby GT500" in Gone in 60 Seconds wasn't even a real Shelby. It was a remake designed by Chip Foose to mimick the 67. The car in the movie shares the name and a couple lines with the original, nothing else. I'll take 1 real 67 GT500 over 10 Eleanor's anyday.

See if you can still breathe after you see this.

It looks too much like that car from the stupid movie... ... oh wait, they were trying for that look. Guess Hollywood is a huge advertisement anymore. *sigh*

    Hallibrand style wheels 18"/19"

I'm still waiting to see a decently priced set of Magnums that will fit the 05 Mustang. I saw custom ones that were almost $600 each (more than 2k for a set :( )

    Lug diameter/pattern for 2005?

Wider tires improve grip with the track, but they need more power to turn them... If you want a rocket-fast start with no slip, you want huge tires. If you want to be able to turn the tires more quickly and not worry about slip, use smaller tires. *shrug*

talked to one of the 05s designers today............

So, who's up for making the first Stealth Mustang... invisible to police radar... anyone? :)

    Not enough power... In 2005

Sounds like they're taking the engine right out of the Ford GT and stuffing in in the Mustang's body... That would be a disgustingly fast pony. (And a little on the costly side, even after they 'tone it down')

talked to one of the 05s designers today............

hmmm... 0.355 vs. 0.36... and the 0.36 could be a round-off... so we're talking virtually the SAME drag on the two cars. Guess appearance means nothing when it comes to determining drag. If anything, the 99+ Mustang body style creates more downforce than the 300C.
  20. E

talked to one of the 05s designers today............

How can you say that? The 300C has very few edges and the front is nearly rounded in every direction, kinda like a hemi-sphere... The 99-04 Mustangs have fake ducts and vents that break up the air flow and cause disruptions in the boundary layer. The difference in drag at 60mph with...
